A figurative artist by nature, Patrick’s larger than life painting style illustrates truth and emotion.  Revealed to us if only for a moment, his subjects’ contentment, lust, joy, and fear suspend on canvas.  Ranging from Abstract to Photoreal, each character compels the viewer to learn their story.

Patrick spends his days in a digital jungle of pixels and command lines working as a Visual Effects Artist for Hollywood’s blockbuster films. He is currently working as an artist with Sony Pictures Imageworks in Culver City. Over the years he has been a visual effects artist on such films as “Speed Racer”, “I am Legend”, “Surf’s Up”, "Superman", "Aeon Flux", "Stealth", "I-Robot", "Day After Tomorrow", "X-Men 2" and "Blue Crush". On nights and weekends he looks forward to an escape to the natural, simplistic world of sable brushes, pigmented oils and stretched canvas.

Patrick is native to Philadelphia and formally educated in Architecture and Art. He attended Drexel and Temple Universities in Philadelphia and obtained a bachelor of Architecture degree.  He then continued studies in computer art and animation in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was there where Patrick began to paint feverishly, and develop his current style. After studying computer animation Patrick traveled up and down the East Coast working as a digital gypsy and roving artist until he made Los Angeles his home in 2002.  His work can be seen in various galleries across the Southland (and at almost any movie theatre across the country).
