Kelly Turso graduated from University of the Arts with a major in photography.  Since then she has interned and apprenticed with some of the most talented photographers in Philadelphia.  She started working on her own 3 years ago.  She now has a studio in Northern Liberties and lives in Society Hill.

In the past few years she has worked for many urban lifestyle magazines in Philadelphia and New York, some including... Complex, Inked, TwoOneFive, Time, Other, and the list goes on.  Also under her belt she has 2 coffee table style books finished, although only one is published at the moment.  The next is to come out in Spring 2009.  Antiques Of The Future, can be purchased in many museum stores all over the world!  The book was a collaboration with Author Lisa Roberts.

Turso has grown up in a very fast lane and has enjoyed photographing many people along the way.  Always being interested in music and skateboarding this has laid a very interesting path for her.  Many of her environmental portraits are of musicians, athletes and socialites who she is even friends with. 

Turso's work is very colorful and loud.  With this being said people have referred to her many times as being similar to a young LAChapelle. 

When not photographing Turso can be found people watching here in Philly, NYC, Rincon Puerto Rico or even down in Seaside Heights NJ.  Her colorful images tend to be a portrait of her own life.
