Melissa Carter originally had her first introduction to vintage
clothing at a very young age, it all started on Belmont street in
Chicago IL where she was introduced to "Hollywood Mirror." Her future
of what she would become was reflected in the rows and rows of
tricolor clothing, hung from the racks that she endlessly sifted
through. Looking through eras of elegance and style allowed her to
gain a genuine respect of design that she has always embraced
through her own reconstruction of vintage styles and fabrics. The
blueprint of the garment is always left, she just personalizes the
style to reflect the times and the funky colorful attitude she
portrays in society. Always loving the possibilities of vintage she
began reconstructing pieces from her own closet and now showcases
them in her own newly acquired 24 hour vintage showroom entitled
Original Opposites. Catering to Celebrities and people of the
nightlife she styles and dresses them an unseen garments specially
marketed for those who want to complete the look of a New York
fashionista. In the heart of Williamsburg Brooklyn, Original Opposites
embraces young and upcoming designers, worn by Melissa Carter, and a
collection of professionally maintained vintage clothing.

Original Opposites is a closet for stylist but there are fees associated with pulling from the OROP closet, please if you are not working personally with the show room then please do not come to the showroom for "free pull" and I mean this in the most polite manner.

OROP fees work in a different manner and are very low compared to what other New York Showrooms may ask for.
