I am an old school photo retoucher. I was doing photo-retouch back before there was such a thing as Photoshop. I have worked in and for most of the big ad agencies in Chicago and chances are pretty good you have seen my work (but were unaware of it :-)
I attended school at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and was trained as an illustrator. Having the ability to do a photo-realistic illustration is one of my advantages when I use photoshop... if there is a part of the image missing, I just draw it in, if I do it right... you can't tell where the photo stops and my illustration begins.

I currently use Photoshop to do all my work, but I can usually improvise my way through other software if need be.

I always do my own illustration and and most of my own photography.  I am currently working full time as a creative director however... I am available for freelance jobs and work from my home office only (nights and weekends), I am not interested in onsite work. My payment is negotiable but I prefer to work hourly.

Lots of people will show me a photo and ask me if it is possible to make the correction they need. I have not once, ever said no. Anything is possible, it is only a question of how long it will take.

I do not have much of my professional retouch work in my port because it would not be terribly interesting to show you how I added "20% more" water droplets to a bottle of pepsi, or did a "slight color shift" to make a guys jacket match the corporate branded PMS color.
