Shannon Komai McClain began her career as a performer at the tender age of 3. Raised by a single mother of three girls, Shannon’s mom, Rose, recognized her daughter’s energy and flare for the dramatic, and decided to enroll her in ballet and jazz class in their hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Now, Shannon is loving life working as an actress, tv host, dancer, and producer. You can see some of her producing work on E! Entertainment's “The Daily 10 Weekend". She has appeared in a number of music videos, independent films, and theater productions in L.A., including the role of Veena in “A Night of the Black Cat” at Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica, Ca. Today, Shannon is proud of both her producing and acting credits, including pulling double duty on the short film, “Capturing Q”, co-starring in the indie flick, “Be Easy” and producing & hosting a television pilot called “The List”. THIS YEAR, SHANNON IS EXCITED ABOUT STARRING IN & PRODUCING A MARTIAL ARTS FILM CALLED "PAST DUE" directed by Paolo DeMello. SHANNON HAS ALSO RECENTLY TEAMED UP WITH A GROUP OF 4 TALENTED DANCERS AND WILL BE PERFORMING IN A BURLESQUE CABARET SHOW CALLED "BEHIND CLOSED DOORS" AT NIGHTCLUBS, PARTIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT HOLLYWOOD. Shannon still finds time to bring her experience and love for the Arts to young people in Los Angeles. She continues to teach dance, drama, and screenwriting for a number of organizations throughout L.A. and The South Bay. She is also active with the Barack Obama '08 campaign. In the future, the young ingénue hopes to fulfill her dream of acting on her favorite soap opera, “General Hospital”, to continue working as a host & dancer, and actress--one day, taking home an Academy Award. She is excited about her continued growth as an actress, singer, artist, dancer, and woman.
