Born and raised in Germany, Nicole Rutsch is a passionate artist and photographer who wants to leverage her skills and blossom into a career as an art director. Currently she works as a Communications Specialist at a photography studio while concurrently working on her projects.

As a child Nicole was drawn to art and was motivated to develop her artistic talent by her childhood mentors; her mother and grandfather.  They pushed her to explore her curiosity and encouraged her to formalize her talent with a degree from a U.S. college.

Nicole moved to New York in 2001 and found employment as a project manager for The Renee Fotouhi Fine Art Gallery; a New Rochelle art gallery and consulting firm. There, she created graphic and digital designs for national clients. Additionally, she worked closely with various artists to market their work. With this experience she was exposed to both well known and up-and-coming artists who inspired her to pursue the development of her own work.

Her success at the Renee Fotouhi Gallery drove her to augment her artistic talent with a degree that would help her understand the commercial side of art. Nicole attended The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Adverting and Marketing Communications in 2009. At FIT Nicole was motivated to go beyond the classroom and got involved in numerous extra-curricular activities. She joined the Advertising Club where she redesigned the logo and the brand identity of the club. Nicole also created the look and feel for the national advertising competitions in which The Club participated.

Nicole began working at a local photography studio to further develop her skills to work towards ultimately becoming an art director. At Michael Frost Photography Studio; she was quickly promoted where she now develops and coordinates creative concepts for editorials and manages photo shoots.
