About Me

I run special makeup effects company Pandora FX, which is a team of artists based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2004, I've been doing prosthetics, bodypaint and transformations for feature films, Indie and commercial projects. I began studying art in college at age 16, and transferred to the Academy of Art in San Francisco where I studied a broad spectrum of art before majoring in Sculpture. Three degrees later I began working immediately in 2004 on shorts and music videos. I've worked on over 550 projects as a key and dept head a lot and as a special makeup effects artist the most. From tattoos and zombies to aliens and horror, I love storytelling with makeup and bringing characters to life.

I've worked on Oscar-winner Martin Landau, traveled to Iceland to shoot with up and comer Maika Monroe, department headed The Violent Kind for directing duo The Butcher Bros, which world premiered at Sundance 2010, and been featured on SyFy Channel's TV show Face Off as a contestant and done some fx magic on Lakeith Stanfield and Steph Curry!!

I enjoy everything from mainstream work on a grand scale, to Avante Garde and refinement. I am very particular about passion projects: it has call on excellence and raising my bar, but I'm also looking for partnership and to transform myself and the project with a magic spell of makeup. My background in sculpture, illustration, and anatomy come into play as much as possible, and I love planning out projects. I use projects to explore the bright and dark corners of my mind whenever possible.

I work for hire and am available to quote projects. I can't afford to work for trade since this is how I make a living, but I'm always open to giving suggestions or referrals if you have a limited budget. Priority does go to paid projects, but I try to find time to share ideas when I'm not busy.

I am becoming surprisingly comfortable in my own skin and am looking for a special project to shoot as myself or whatever, in my skin or whatever, to see something about me through another eye. That is surprising and true and it's where I'm at in life right now <3
