Kate fell in love with makeup effects while pursuing a drama degree at the University of Washington in 2004. In 2008, she moved to Los Angeles to attend school at Studio Makeup Academy.Since then she has been honing her skills working on a variety of feature films including Mercey (2008), Necromentia (2009) and Beautiful Brit Baker (2011).In 2013, she was called on to help with the background Zombies for the season finale and premiere on NBC's GRIMM. Most recently, she has lead the department on several local projects including Pheonix Run, STILL, and the Discovery ID channel series Evil In-law.
