Hello--

My name is Blair.  I grew up trading my time between Honolulu, HI and Denver, CO, and I find myself now in San Diego, CA.  I've been interested in imagery, both still and motion, for as long as I can remember.  Though I started shooting in high school, my passion for photography really came to me in college.  I have been shooting professionally for a few years now.  I am published regularly, and I love seeing my images in print, both in magazines and on walls.  You will too.

When I was a kid, someone who I love and trust closely once told me, that if you follow your heart and do what makes you happy, then the world will open up for you.  This is why I do what I do.  I am a very easy going, very fun to work with individual.  I strive for the best in myself, as well as my images, and through my creative process I am able to pull out the best attributes of my subjects.  I am well equipped and technically proficient.  I try not to categorize myself, or others really, so as not to constrain or limit potential.  I believe that any great photographer must be able to truly connect with their subjects, so that they may be able to truly connect with the audience.  I also have experience as a model, so I understand what it is like to be on both sides of the camera.

The strength of an image, for me, is defined by its ability to move the audience.  A great image can be captured through infinitely diverse means.... I like to work with or without creative narratives.  Some of my best images were painstakingly created... every detail placed within the frame.  Other great images are created nearly by accident, and capture the true essence of the moment, a glimpse into the soul of the person I have in front of me.  As long as it moves you.... that is why I do this.
