About Me

Joe McCarthy is an exhibiting artist whose work spans several different mediums and has been shown in galleries across CT.  His short films and documentary work have shown all over the US and Europe.  Coming from a photographic background he worked for several years on film sets in LA.  Since moving back to CT his work has gravitated towards the exploration of the city of Hartford through a Project entitled "The hog River Revival".  The retrospective opens at the Hartford Artwalk Gallery December 7th

Currently Joe is beginning a new body of work which will involve the creation of surreal images printed as kallitypes.  There will be many images in this body of work and many reoccurring characters, as the content will be narrative in nature.  If you would like to get involved just let him know.
