Born in the gray world of Communist Romania, she got to see the world from angles and in lights that most of us might not even comprehend. Photography discovered her in 2000's, and since then, it became her favorite medium, her motivation for being, and her most complete way of expression. She studied the intricacies of the art and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Commercial Photography from the College of Southern Nevada, in Las Vegas, U.S.A. where she was seen as a brilliant student and a great artist by her peers and her teacher alike.
In the short time since, she managed to create an impressive Portfolio, gather fans and admirers and she is helping intensively in the forming of new talents in her field. Her diverse experience and her unique point of view, are making her comfortable in any photographic situation. Her sincere approach to her work, and her openness towards her client's desires, enables her to bring out each subject's personality and tell a story in each of her frames. She understands what client needs easier than anyone else, and that shows throughout her work.
Cristina Stefan plays with light in a way in which very few photographers can play. She makes it seems effortless and at the same time deep and moving.
But she captures more than light and beauty: she captures time. Each of her photos is a moment in time that will never come back. And it is a moment of creation, of dream, of poetry.
The world seen through Cristina's eyes, seems to change the way we perceive reality and to present us with new options. The story her camera tells is what we sometimes dream of, but don't know how to express it.
