I'm an Art History major, and Studio Art and Italian minor set to graduate Spring 2009.  I'm fascinated by art, beauty, irony, truth, inspiration, surprise, movement, and the body, and love to draw and write poetry.  I think the human form is the most intriguing canvas and that photography and modeling can be palettes for communication, outreach, and enlightenment.

I'm honest, optimistic, and almost always happy. The people in my life that mean the most to me are sincere, loving, and passionate about what they do.

"Faith"

If you ever really want to get to know someone, work the early-morning shift at the local 711.
There's something about rising four hours before the sun that changes people.
It's what we do when we feel meaningless that
defines us.
It's being kind for no sure recompense.
The smile he hands back with the change and a dirty crumpled receipt,
restores faith in the human condition...
...yet makes it obsolete.
He had "GOD" tattooed across his knuckles, just to be safe.


"Under My Skin"

At night the cabaret singer doesn’t dream.
Her eyelashes flutter,
Crusted shut with a fool’s gold.

Cold, hard Jack Daniel’s sweat bleeds out and soaks the mattress.

But in this sour, solitary hell
She finds peace.
And darkness is her beat.
