I am intrigued by the creeping psychological darkness that surrounds our sleeping and sometimes waking nightmares. My current body of work is a series of paintings that juxtapose living and dead flesh, human and animal life, beauty and grotesqueness.
I strive to create both an accurate portrayal of the figure and an emotional connection with the human psyche. These works are an attempt to create dark, looming psychological states of tension, mystery, death, alienation, and horror. I focus on fears of death, dehumanization, loss of control, vulnerability, darkness, and the unknown in an attempt to convey the associations between them and place these anxieties within a context to confront them.

FOR THOSE WISHING TO WORK WITH ME:

I am currently teaching classes at UVU. If you wish to pose for a class I can take your information down and pass it along to the right people. These are paid jobs that are very much appreciated by the students and faculty. Typically the classes are three hours long and you will be paid through the school.

If you have decided that you're interested in working with me, write me. I will only know you are interested in working with me if you say so. Working with me is not the usual model mayhem experience, I am an artist not a photographer. I am not looking for shallow smiles or glamourous beauty. I hope that you will not look at me for such things either. I usually like it a little more simple and gritty. 
The more personal you make something, the more universally touching it becomes.


SETTING UP A SHOOT/DRAWING

Tell me the days that you are usually available to shoot. If you are so inspired, write me a bit about yourself and your story. Come prepared to spend three hours at least. Have all the necessary grooming done before you arrive. Better yet don't groom at all. Nudity is what I generally do but if you have an outfit or clothing that is something interesting or in mind, great, bring it. And bring a form of picture i.d..

A FEW LAST THINGS:
I have no money to buy your time, and I will not ask you to pay for mine. If i just have to work with you i will sometimes pay for travel (in the state). If the art isn't a good enough reason to work with me there are many many other photographers on here willing to pay you for your smile. That being said I do need and appriciate you and your time but TF images and sometimes a drawings is how I role. I look forward to working with you.
