About Me

Hey, I haven't been on here in forever...

I'm a fairly creative and a technically competent photographer that's often distracted by other things.  i've got the lenses and electronic tricks to get most any shot in most light and love a technically challenging shoot.  I'd be happy to help you realize a shot in your head.  I don't have a pile of studio equipment, but I do have two flashes so with reflectors and one wireless, artificial lighting can normally be done.

I don't have a huge backlog of shots I want to do, but someone who looks washed up is something I've been thinking of lately.  I think a magical realism Marquez story I read in high school was the spark.  I want to say Chronicle of a Death Foretold, but I can't recall properly hmm  >>Think of a gorgeous nude body that's grungy and half buried, maybee in the waves but too pristine to be properly dead.
I'd really like to get that together on a beach in vancouver (& I'd probably try to HDR the background).

I also want to do one of the shots where the model is around/wrapped in a string of lights.  I know it's getting a little cliché but I think it'd be a lot of fun.

-- Nudity --

I like nudity but haven't shot a model nekkid yet.  A lot of people on here have raving nudity manifestos where they deride the very notion of taking their clothes off but fill their portfolios with suggestive images.  It's weird to me.
Being naked and asexual is also weird to me.  I in no way think naked pictures = porn, but to pretend that there is zero sexual interaction, between the model, photographer, or viewer (in any combination) is naïve.  It's also not a bad thing...  I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but how (some) people approach nudity and near nudity on here is very odd to me and, at times, annoying.  Just sayin.
