I shoot a wide variety of styles (fashion, art, pinup, etc.) and am open to pretty much anything.

Inspiration & Shooting Personality

I love Gil Elvgren, his pin-ups are inspirational. I enjoy working out of a studio and in the real world. While in Merida, as long as we avoid the “daily” rain, I’m open to pretty much any location I can get to. If you’ve got a car or a bus can get us there, I’m good.

I use film. I use digital. I use SLRs. I use plastic toy cameras. I have cameras that are older than I am. I tend not to shoot hundreds of frames during a short shoot. Unless I'm trying to capture motion (jumps, hair swinging, etc)... I prefer to take my time and treat every frame like its film. It's my style, it works for me... please don't feel uncomfortable when I don't machine gun it. Down here, I’m limited to my digital camera since customs is so unfair... LOL

I love music, motion and fun. I love laughing with my models. I do have a sense of humor that takes getting used to. I'm a dork. Star Trek: TNG for the WIN! Like I said, I'm a DORK. I love what I do; I love who I am. Photography is the outlet that gets me through the rough spots...and the not-so rough spots. Photography is my passion in life.

I'm happy to work with models of any experience level, so if you're new it's okay! Models of all shapes/sizes/colors are welcome to request TF*, this doesn't guarantee a shoot but I do review all requests and reply. 

If you're interested in working with me, please contact me. I do not spend a lot of time searching for models here, so if you're interested in working with me, TELL me. I prefer to meet with models prior to scheduling a shoot.  I believe this will help us to work better together and ensure that everyone is comfortable when we shoot. 

Models need to be 18 or older OR have a parent/guardian present with them.  For models under age 18, I require a pre-shoot meeting with the model & parent(s) to discuss model release, themes, style & wardrobe.

Model Release

For most shoots I will ask for a model release. This helps me keep my records straight. Model releases also let me submit the work we create together to competitions and for publication. My standard release does cover commercial uses and I do submit some work to stock sites. I don’t generate a huge amount of income from this, but the royalties do help. If the commercial use is a problem, let’s talk about it... I’m a fair and reasonable person.

Escorts
A single escort is negotiable. I'm happy to meet with you and an "escort" prior to our shoot. We can then discuss the shoot and decide whether or not to move forward. Since, I’m a woman and most of the models I work with on MM are also women it tends to be my opinion if you’re not comfortable being “alone” with me, we’re probably not going to create the type of magic together I enjoy. Now, if you’ve got a girl friend who would also like to shoot with me and want to set up simultaneous shoots...that is way more likely to happen...and sometimes it is nice to have someone to hold a reflector or keep a light stand from blowing over on location. ;-)

More bodypaint/art  (I used to facepaint, but don’t have brushes/paint with me in Merida...but if you know where I can get those locally, we can make something magic happen.)
More art nudes
Couples shoots (romantic/engagement style)
On location bridal work (long gowns, beach/park settings)
Children's & Family Portraits
Prom or Wedding "Trash the Dress"
Dancers - Hip Hop, Ballet***, Jazz, Modern, Ballroom, etc...
Musicians - Bands, Solo artists, pianists, etc...
That's just a few ideas, so if you've got something fun and creative you want in YOUR portfolio that's NOT on this list, hit me up. I have wanted to do a ballet, pointe shoot for ages, so dancers, are you out there?

Some images on model portfolios that I did take have been re-edited by the model or their friends. Unfortunately, as other photographers know this is a real problem and the options are asking nicely or burning bridges. Please, look to my portfolio for the quality of work that I provide my clients.
