About Me

Hey Creatives!
My name is Kat Creasey and I am 21, Live on the Gold Coast but travel interstate frequently for work. I am a vintage hair and makeup artist and have an extensive array of vintage pieces in my collection ranging from dresses to hats and shoes from many different eras. I have access to many classic cars and historic locations and i love working with people eager to get the classic old hollywood style into their portfolio- which i am truly in love with and revolve my whole life around.
I have a personal facebook page which i use more frequent than this page and i would love to discuss working together if you have some ideas- I work alongside some fantastic designers in Australia and we collaborate often.
If you choose to work with me you will expect nothing but utter professionalism and fun at the shoot.

ABC T.V- The Collectors - Rockabilly Girl- Bio
20 year old Kat Creasey is less interested in collecting songs for her iPod, friends on Face Book or funky plastic jewellery than collecting retro culture. Things made when her parents or grandparents were young excite her much more than items made today. It’s unusual but she’s passionate and focused. She’s a real Rockabilly Girl. To Kat it’s a style that’s classy and elegant and she loves everything about it.

Kat has been making and selling jewellery since she was twelve years old. Her style originally was hippy and alternative, as most of her customers lived in Byron Bay. This changed to reproduction vintage-style pieces when she discovered Rockabilly culture at age fifteen. Hair flowers and fascinators are her specialty and she sells them at Rock’n Roll and Hot Rod festivals, such as Wintersun in Coolangatta.

Hair ornaments and the 1940s jewellery that would look odd with modern clothes perfectly suit the vintage clothes that Kat has begun collecting. They must fit her style and figure though, not necessarily an easy thing to do, given the fact that women’s figures have changed a bit since then. The beauty of finding vintage clothes is that they are “one-offs”. Reproductions are often available, but Kat strives to get originals. The 1950s shoe clips which are relatively easy to obtain really dress up a rather ordinary shoe, and having several of them can make the same shoe look like many!

Kat takes the whole rockabilly thing seriously and as a professional make-up artist and hair stylist, she can help take a person back to an era she and others find so exciting.

"If you're looking for someone who combines utter professionalism with unmatched expertise, Kat is the best - the only - choice there is. On set she's a dream to work with, off it a pleasure to be around. Her skill and knowledge about the era makes her a great collaborator and an invaluable resource. She is walking, talking, flame-haired, vintage glamour and a privilege to photograph." S.L. Dixon

Kat Creasey handles herself well in front of a camera and offers creative and interesting ideas that may enhance a shoot. She is a lady of integrity and possesses a great deal of composure in professional situations. I am pleased to endorse her for your next modeling project as she can rise to any occasion presented before her.
