Do you shoot digital or film?
Both. But, for most portrait sessions digital is used. Advances in digital imaging and software have made photography a “guess-free” experience. The cameras used are the latest models and produce hi-resolution images that can be enlarged up to 11X14 with no loss of quality. The images included in each session are cropped, color-corrected, flawlessly retouched at your discretion and reproduce beautiful identical prints.

What is a session like and what is included?
In a digital session, you will see your images before you leave the session. If more images are desired, then more can be taken. Adjustments in hair/make-up, angle, lighting and clothing can be made on the spot.

Your session will last anywhere from 30mins -1 1/2 hours –  Between 125-175 images are made and can be edited down as we work. A CD is made at the end of the session with your images on hi-resolution contact sheets for you to make the first edit on your own computer. Once you’ve narrowed the images down to 40-60 shots, hard copy contact sheets are prepared in either color or black & white.

What do I wear and can I get a hair & make-up artist?
Clothing suggestions will be sent to you upon booking. Hair and make-up artists are available but it is suggested that you can bring your own.

What do you think makes a good portrait or headshot?
Great lighting that is customized for each individual. Direct eye-contact that is relaxed and alert. Good body language. These three elements in a portrait make an unforgettable impression.
