Katherine Soto, born to immigrant parents and raised in the South Bronx of New York City, drew inspiration for her career in fashion and makeup artistry from the numerous golden age old Hollywood films that she watched from a young and tender age. Watching the likes of Katharine Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor (both her namesakes) as well as other divas such as Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe, and Marlene Dietrich instilled in her a sense and flair for fashion and makeup and a desire to attain and produce looks taken and inspired by them all.

After numerous unfulfilling years in administration and finance, she came to the realization that her true happiness and fulfillment could only be attained by following her childhood dreams and therefore embarked on her journey into the fashion and make up industries.

She is currently working independently with various photographers and up and coming models as well as assisting on various runway shows, such as the National Underwear day fashion show held annually in Times Square, New York as well as various venues of New York's Fashion Week '07.
