About Me

Living in San Francisco.  Been a bit dormant in photography of late, but would enjoy entertaining new projects.  Please enquire.

Special note: As of 2017-07-22, I expect to have a camera that can do both infrared and ultraviolet photography.  If either or both of these are of interest, let me know!

--- un-edited old profile below; some details subject to being different. ---

*** Primary current projects:

(1) Light painting/writing, with people in it -- including portraits, art nudes, and erotic imagery
(2) Exploring erotic imagery further, in general
(3) Working on a documentary about what it's like to be a model, at any level.

If you'd like to participate in any or all of these, please contact me!

----

I enjoy pushing my creative side when doing photography.  To push the limits of what we can imagine as a pure photograph, while still ultimately being one, is my greatest photographic joy.

As such, lately, I've been shooting film again more and more, and printing in a conventional darkroom.  I feel this is where (currently, anyway) I can get the best mix of "pure photography" with my creativity and interest in pushing the limits of imagination.

The basic MM-relevant questions answered:

- shooting nudity: Depends on the situation.  I've historically tried to keep my public face fairly "prude-friendly", if you will, though I also have some artistic ideas that are anything but.  Either way, I'll definitely try to keep it artistic and comfortable when I do shoot nudes.

- TFP/TFCD: If you're hiring me for your project, I want paid work.  If you're offering your looks to my art, then trade options are most welcome -- you'll get images for your portfolio, and I get artistic control (though your input is always welcome -- I love collaborations).  Also, if we're doing a trade shoot, I will of course gladly spend some percentage of the shoot doing shots that you specifically want for your portfolio.

- Trade, part 2: If I'm getting paid to do a shoot, you can absolutely expect that anyone I ask to help (be it modeling, stylist, etc, and other than the client, of course) will be getting a cut.

- Travel: Negotiable, though something in Cottonwood Heights is definitely easiest for me right now, unless you're driving. smile (I started a car-free life when I lived in Seattle. Transit out this far is much more difficult, especially at night, which is usually when I shoot, because of the need for darkness for doing light painting.

- Model releases required: Yes.  Feel free to ask for a copy to read in advance, or a copy after you've signed.

- Friend requests: I'll generally leave any requests I get in my queue until/unless I feel like you're someone I have an ongoing relationship with -- i.e. we've shot together multiple times, or hang out in other ways, or whatever.  If you're interested in having me shoot you (or your work, if you're an MUA, stylist, etc.), a message is generally your best bet.
