"Modeling is brutal." It's so easy to roll your eyes when you hear that statement. Honestly, how hard can it be?! Getting to wear cool clothes, put forth your best pouty face and stand there while someone cakes you up with make-up- yeah, sounds vicious. Well, I may not be Heidi Klum, but it IS hard. The positions are ridiculously uncomfortable, the lights are hot and honesty comes at you with such force, it takes the wind right out of you. Yet, I want to get into this field. It's alluring, exciting and fulfilling. I want to see how far I can push myself. I want to see how I recover from someone telling me at the age of 26 that I'm too old.
The people that I've met (and worked with) thus far have been incredible. Very gentle. Very understanding. I'm actually able to apply my creativity as an art director to shoots without a battle of the divas type explosion. And perhaps this wears off, but I still love seeing the proofs for the first time. It's like Christmas. Would i like to make decent money from various [legitimate] opportunities that present themselves? Sure. Who doesn't?
