I was born in the Eastern Cape and had a childhood consisting of a series of stays in most of the regions of South Africa and Namibia.

Daughter of an Afrikaaner farmer and a financial advisor;

farm girl, anarchist, idealist, traditionalist, sister.

A loving family, rich and diverse cultural backround as well as a small amount of disregard for authority have led me to be who i am today.

My approach to photography is that of an inventor: i take what i can from what i see, be it real or pictoral, old or new, and try to create  something unique.

My philosophy regarding art comes from Post-Modernist views where the connection between creativity and destruction is infinite so in order to create something new and unique, one must deviate from current restrictions and past ideals.
