Aloha ia 'oukou pakahi a pau!

My name is Taryn Wong but the name I use in modeling is "Kilana"(it's Hawaiian for Taryn). I'm 21 years old and a native to my homeland: Hawai'i Nei! I am a young woman of mixed race(Hawaiian, Samoan, Japanese, Chinese, English, Scottish, French, German and Irish), which is common here in Hawai'i but unique elsewhere.

I guess you can say that I'm your average, everyday "tita". Now for those of you who don't know what the term "tita" is, please allow me to explain. Tita is a local slang word for "tomboy" or "a girl that can act like a guy". But to be honest, I'm a tita with more of a girly side. I was born here on the island of O'ahu, but I was raised on the island of Kaua'i. I moved back here to O'ahu 6 years ago and now have my mind set to return to my beautiful Kaua'i... Someday. Besides wanting to persue a life in the modeling world, I hope to be successful in stage theatre as well. I'm an actress, singer and dancer. I've been performing on and off stages around the islands since the age of 6 and I hope to one day perform professionally. But now I'm getting off the subject... Let's get back to modeling...

I'm your average young woman looking into the modeling world. 4 years ago I graduated at the top of my class from the Barbizon Modeling School. Ever since then I've always wanted to persue my modeling career but I just couldn't get my foot out of that door(you know what I mean...). Then I found this website and thought what a great way to find people who would be willing to work with a plus size model like myself as well as a place to start out to help me along my way.

As a plus size model, my goal is to show that big IS beautiful. It would be an achievement beyond my wildest dreams. I know plus size women are sort of looked down in society, but I hope to change that someday.

I'm also aspiring to be a MUA as well. I've always had a passion for creating beauty and putting it to a beautiful face. I'm still new to it, but I would love to hear your opinions on my work as well.
