2014 - It is hard to believe that it has been seven year since I first logged onto Model Mayhem.  I have really had the honor to work with a lot of really nice models, make up artists and other photographers here.  I have found that over the past several years the artistic quality of a lot of the postings has really started to suffer.  There have been several beautiful models, new models who traded work for pics with other photographers who I think got the short end of the stick.  I have grown tired of the "meat market" and scantily clad selfies taken in a mirror crowd.  MM should not be a hook up site or anything else like that.  We should as a community grown.  A camera, some eBay lights and a white sheet background does not make you a photographer!  Some lingerie and the self confidence to post a pic of yourself in mirror does not make you a model.  You need to be technically good at both.  For the time being I have decided not to shoot any models and will be moving in another direction.  I will be available at no charge to newbie models to help critique their portfolios.  Send me a message and I will be more than happy to speak to you about how technically things look.  Remember you have about 10 photos to capture someones eye.  While you can be stunning a poorly executed photograph series can kill things for you and that is just not fair.  This is my way to give something back to the community.
