About Working With Me
I have been shooting in a variety of genres for over four decades. Most of what I do on Model Mayhem is intended for portfolio building, but I do have art projects that I am working on as well. I am very laid back when shooting and am respectful of the time, effort, and talent models bring to the table. I adhere to a strict ethical code as a photographer that can best be summed up as I will not ask a model to do anything they are uncomfortable doing. Taking this further, I provide very detailed shoot plans up front for review prior to the shoot so models know exactly what to expect on shoot day. I do not deviate from these plans unless it is at the models request. If there is anything in the shoot plan that a model is unsure about I keep a policy of 100% open communication and encourage any model I shoot with to voice creative suggestions, constructive criticism, or any concerns at any time before or during the shoot. I encourage models to bring a friend and I won't shoot unless I have a female assistant working with me.

What I Am Looking For
I can use a variety of types of models and will pay for the right models who can help me advance toward my goals, I will trade time for models looking to flesh out content or try something out/build their book, and my rates are very reasonable for new models who need high quality images for their portfolio.
I shoot primarily fashion and beauty but am nearing saturation in my portfolio. Going forward most of my work in these genres will be either TFP or for fee.
There are things I will pay models for.
I shoot editorial and stock photography. This is great for inexperienced models and friend groups who want to make a little money in exchange for a chance at getting some exposure across different media types.
I have a long-term pinup project underway. A little acting ability, the ability to see the art in the concepts, and a good sense of humor go a long way for this project. I will pay for the right models who match what I am looking to accomplish.
Dance and athletic/fitness photography are also areas I want to grow in as I am fascinated by the athleticism and grace involved and know these are challenging photo genres. If you are a dancer or athlete and are interested in shooting I will pay in these genres as well as provide images back in exchange for your time and willingness to grant me some leeway to fail, adapt, and improve.
Lastly - I am happy to make images of both men and women. A great image is about a great subject and those come in a variety of packages.

What I Don't Shoot
I do not shoot alt, fetish, or erotic. No judgment - I simply have no idea what constitutes a good alt or fetish photo and have not seen any that speak to me artistically. As for erotic (open leg, implied insertion, simulated copulation, etc.) - I do not shoot it nor can I shoot with models who do. To each their own, but my clients would not hang around if they saw me even loosely associated with any pornographic imagery. This does not include nude art models. I am fine with clothed shoots with nude art models. The genre is as old as artistic expression itself and I have a huge appreciation for Helmut Newton, Patric Shaw, and especially Vincent Peters.
