J.Flow is a rope artist and portrait photographer born in Chile and based in Sydney, Australia. His photographic work explores individuals’ expressions of identity and sensuality, kink and BDSM, and rope bondage aesthetics.

J entered the creative space through his work as a DJ, experimenting with hip hop, trance and techno. Curating events and spaces became an outlet for engineering experiences through the manipulation of lighting, sound and atmosphere.

J’s passion for individual liberation, empowerment and expression have informed his rope work, which spans teaching, performance, art, and somatic healing. J is a professional educator, with contributions in the fields of sports science, physical education and sexual wellbeing. Through specialised rope sessions, he supports individuals to reconnect to their bodies and their sensuality in a trauma-informed, gender-affirming and body-positive way.

J’s artistic rope work unites elements of Japanese shibari traditions and contemporary rope bondage styles, with a focus on creating dynamic shapes, accentuating the beauty of the human form, and situating the model in an atmosphere of change and contrast, using lighting and sound to transform spaces. His photography is an exercise in capturing unashamed self-expression—celebrating the unbound human experience through the acceptance of identity, and the reclaiming of power.
