Sam Garvin is a native Washingtonian that has been shooting since 1994. He has always had a love for art in all its forms including painting, drawing, music and photography. Sam originally started with street shooting using a Canon G-III QL film camera and later branched into macro photography using a Panasonic simi-mirrorless camera. By 2003 he was experimenting with lifestyle and portrait images starting his first company Garvin Pro Photos which would later become BlueBox Digital Media. He has been published many times over the years and his images span the covers of books and magazines alike. He has shot many company heads, government officials and musical artists. He now shoots with a Sony Alpha A7rIII as his primary driver and his work spans everything from event photography to corporate and government projects.
