My name is Saalika and I am the owner of Scissor Tail Studios.

I am a photographer, director, and creative director for photoshoots, music videos, and film.
I earned my Bachelor's in Photography and have been a freelancer in the industry for almost 10 years. I have worked in Washington D.C., Baltimore, and New York and now I am based in Los Angeles.
In 2022, I joined the Board of The American Society of Media Photographers, Los Angeles Chapter, and have been an active member of the society since 2016.

With my photography, I specialize in portraiture, lifestyle editorial, and concert photography.
I am available for event and wedding work as well!

I am looking to build my network here on the West Coast, get some paid jobs, and would love to work with new models, whether you are starting out or are experienced in the business. I love helping models build their portfolio!
