I had a passion fro photography as a kids and always wanted an instant camera as I was always impressed to see the image appear in front of your eyes within seconds. At the age of 9 I finally got my first point and shoot film camera. Unfortunately this didn't last long as the cost of film and developing for a 9 year old was limited by pocket money and parents.

In my teens I started taking photos with a digital camera. It wasn't until my wife and I went on an extended trip to Europe where I found myself taking more and more photos amazed at all of the beauty around me which was so different to what I grew up with in Australia. We bought an entry level Sony DSLR with 2 lenses. When we had out first daughter the camera was always out and we wanted to capture her every move. From this increase in taking photos, my wife and I decided to learn more about photography. We spent hours in the evenings after our daughter was in bed watching CreativeLive. Our friends started to notice an increase in our photography skills and began to ask if we could photograph events or pregnancies for them.

When we arrived back in Australia I decided to do a Diploma of Photo Imaging to continue to explore the field of photography and expand my knowledge even further. We upgraded our camera to a Full Frame Nikon D800 and noticed a huge increase in quality compared to our old camera.

Fast forwarding to today. My wife and I have 2 photography businesses. Paul Bright Photography is more focused on Fine Art Creative Portraits and Model Portfolios.

It is my hope that by joining this platform I can collaborate with local models to either help each other build our portfolios or serve you build yours. Or to meet like minded local artists with the possibility of a long friendship.
