I took my first photo in high school, back in ancient times when we used Plus-X and Tri-X film and printed on photo paper using an enlarger. The excitement when I saw my very first print magically appear on the paper in a bath of chemicals was the coolest thing ever! I was hooked.

It makes me old just thinking about it!

Throughout college I was an avid photographer shooting nature, friends, and just about everything else. I was the photo editor of my college newspaper, which gave me access to the all-important darkroom.

My career, marriage and family took me out of photography for a number of years but sometime in the mid 2000's my creative instincts kicked into gear.

I have had a lot of fun over the years with my photography. I’ve been a newspaper photographer, won prizes at the San Diego County Fair, taught classes and am a graduate of the University of California, San Diego extension’s certificate program called “Photography: Images and Techniques”. I’ve been a member of the Professional Photographer’s of America since 2016.

Creating photos of models is something I have found is a true passion. Shooting lights and shadows on a face, curves and lines of a body, and even selecting hair in Photoshop are challenges that I truly enjoy.
