I retired early from my career as an architect so that I could further explore my lifelong photography passion. Being a former Ironman, I initially photographed triathlons and other sporting events before discovering my true passion is photographing graduating seniors, strength/fitness, swimwear and boudoir. I use off-camera flash (including high speed sync) and have an eye for clean compositions. Although my poses tend to focus on triangles, negative spaces and curves, I also like to capture lifestyle moments - including laughter.

My goal for the use of Model Mayhem is to identify models to collaborate with that offer an opportunity for each of us to explore and expand our creativity. I believe we are always learning, developing and evolving as artists, For example, over the past year I have refined my off-camera light skills so that I can photograph beautiful portraits outdoors no matter how harsh the sunlight might be - via the use of high speed sync. This technique is awesome for fitness models in a gym environment, and also for boudoir (indoors or outdoors).

I own a campervan that I use for cross-country travel vacations. I can now use MM to arrange TFP collaborations with models that reside in locations that I am traveling through. The campervan is helpful with outdoor sessions since it also serves as an air conditioned dressing room, makeup application space, and includes a kitchenette, refrigerator, and a bathroom.
