I fell in love with photography from an adventurer's perspective. As primarily a landscape photographer I thrive on getting to enjoy the hike to get to the shot. I love finding complimenting foreground and background scenery that fit together to make an image pop.

I've been transitioning into using more subjects as a engaging components to my landscape photography. I want to be able to tell a story to my audience and make them feel like they are in the picture or yearn to be. I'm continually trying new shots and I invite personality into my photography.

Portrait photography is an area I don't have loads of experience in but I've been able to get out and search for amazing individuals that are excited to be inserted into my vision. I want my portrait photography to more fine art. I really want to expand my portrait photography portfolio, and capture the beauty I see with landscape photography but with the human experience.

I absolutely love cityscapes. as someone who came from nowhere, middle of the US. there was not much of any skyscraping or eye-catching architecture, so whenever we'd dive to a city id be mesmerized. the awe hasn't faded and I've had a lot of fun capturing my love of cityscapes with my photography.

Landscapes, Portraits, Cityscapes. those are the three pillars of Jay Remmers Photography. The best part about those three niches, collaborating with other creators helps to enhance all of them.
