I am an amateur photographer that would like to make the transition to the more professional side. I would like to specialize in maternity boudoir and fantasy/steampunk boudoir. While I do plan to continue to have paying clients, that will mostly be to support my art/activism. I'm a tax accountant so I have another career. It is my hope that this will allow me to spend the bulk of my time focusing on projects of my choice. I plan to use both maternity boudoir and fantasy/steampunk boudoir to spread the message that while we may all look different, we are all human and we are all beautiful. This message is very close to my heart, and actually started as a result of my own joke boudoir shoot that I did as a gift to make my wife smile. What I did not expect was how empowered I would feel about my own body as a result. I cannot begin to express how this experience touched me, as until recently, I’ve always struggled with weight. The care and support of my two friends who helped me with the shoot showed me what a precious gift body positivity can be. I want to continue giving that gift; both to my maternity boudoir clients, and those who view my collections of the cosplay boudoir sub genres listed above.

In order to do that, I will need to work with models to build my portfolio so that I can have the proven skills and demonstrated ethics, in order to be able to work with the people I need to work with to complete my projects. I do have a limited budget for paid models, but would prefer to keep that for my projects. As such, I am willing to be far more generous than the average photographer when it comes to trades. I will also be likely to work for next to nothing as a second to an other photographer in exchange for mentoring.

Note: I selected erotic and fetishized as a genres I am willing to shoot. This is because I believe they will still help me learn skills that would be useful to boudoir. While I am happy to assist any models with whatever projects they ask me to, these will no longer be genres I am willing to shoot once I have built my portfolio. Please do not look to me for a long term relationship in these genres. Not unless it is an individual favor for a model with whom I work together on a regular basis.
