John grew up in Colombia and in his early 20s moved to the US. With a background in graphic design and plastic arts, he continued his education at the Academy of Arts in Denver CO. A self-awarded funniest dad and husband, John has nailed it every year. John is currently based in San Ramon, CA.

John´s studio portraiture is defined by high contrast images on the side of fine art style with a sense of adventure in motion. John´s images are creative, colorful, irreverent, spontaneous, and fun. His non-traditional camera angles can convey empowerment and the vulnerability behind it for those who love to write between lines.
