About Me

My dream has always been to model. I feel more confident in front of the camera. I feel like I have always had a passion for modeling but not the opportunity to get into it. I heard of Model Mayhem on a website by Evangeline. It had mentioned how they first started modeling off of Model Mayhem and how it had offered them many opportunities. I have always enjoyed taking pictures and posing with friends and by myself. I find myself more comfortable in front of a camera. Ever since I was little, my parents always mentioned me becoming a model. It has been a very passionate dream of mine and I would love the opportunity.

That’s a very nice start. You say it’s your dream to model? Well then. You need more professional looking photos. Start by taking the five standard “agency-style Polaroids” of yourself Google it if you don’t know. Usually the model wears a bikini. Make sure to wear heels! The photos are … Portrait. Bust. Half-length. Full-length. Turned away (to show the behind) but looking back at the camera and half-length to three-quarter. The photos can be posted on MM or just keep them to show prospective clients or agencies or professional contacts if that seems more appropriate to you.

Then start contacting nearby photographers whose work you have carefully considered and that you LIKE to see if she or he will do TFP to build your book up with photos that you can be pretty sure that you’ll like and will help you too. Make sure to get pro hair and MUP and styling whenever possible too. When shooting portfolio building TFP materials try to be creative, but also try stick with photo genres that people will actually pay you to appear in later. When looking at your portfolio remember to make sure that clients can see how amazing you look, how amazing you CAN look in more conceptual hair and MUP and styling, and also how amazing you can make their product or service look.

Good luck to you here on MM .. it’s a great resource:
