My name is Rodolphe Portier. I am a director of photography from France and have been working in the L.A. area for the past 10 years. I have worked as an AC on branded commercials (L'Oreal, Apple, Samsung, Renault...) and music videos and climbed up to DP. For the past 5 years I have mainly been working on narrative dramas and digital content - two of my latest narratives were nominated at the Daytime Emmys: Winterthorne and Ladies of the Lake.
Beside my experience as a photographer on a few fashion photoshoots ( see my Facebook page), for the past three years, I have been filming projects like Ladies of the Lake Part I and II. Working on these projects has given me a lot more experience with lighting and framing specifically for women, which I believe makes me very capable to shoot fashion forward and cosmetic contents. On a personal level, I am a very passionate and enthusiastic professional and I am very eager to share and learn with new people.
I am currently working toward the fashion/Beauty type of commercial work and I would welcome the help and input of this community.
