Hi, I’m John, a full time artist based in Perthshire in Scotland.
My interest is mainly in portrait drawing and painting .
This requires the sitter to be reasonably still for longer periods than would be necessary for photographic modelling .
However , there are regular breaks and the poses are usually seated .
Ideally I work around six hours a day with a break for lunch and up to five days in sequence on one drawing or painting . I recognise there needs to be flexibility with this as it’s not always possible for models to attend on sequential days so we work around this when necessary and plan ahead .
I pay £150 per day plus travel expenses.
