After 30 years of body shaming, I am finally body embracing!
I have dealt with low self esteem and major insecurities all of my life. Because of this, I have battled an eating disorder for more than half of my life that nearly destroyed me. My thick shell- accompanied by stretch marks all over my body- made me feel like I had to cover my body up. This is the society we live in. This is our reality. One in which we can’t feel comfortable in our own skin. I have always felt compared, second best, fat and ugly.
I felt ugly. My new journey in modeling is a way for me to self reflect, self embrace and self express. I lost both of my pregnancies and am currently going through a divorce- which is what brought me to my decision to dive deep into my soul and embrace the beautiful person I have always been on both the inside and the outside. I hope to influence and encourage people to embrace who they are and to help shift the way society perceives beauty.
I want to be the change that I want to see in the world. And change starts with self.
