I am a very experienced photographer with many decades of experience working with film before slowly transitioning to digital 20+ years ago.  My primary source of income was as an electronics systems engineer, a career that I retired from a few years ago.  Since then I have been focusing my energy on developing a brand-building photography business.  I am very serious about my photography and work hard to create images that are as good as if not better than my accomplished peers.  No small task as I am still learning even though I've been doing photography professionally since before your parents were in short pants.

Prior to retiring I did a lot of weddings and event photography as a part time contractor.  I was also published in several motorcycle themed magazines.  These days my interests are in building a business that provides SpokesModel stills for print and digital advertising.  I still spend a fair amount of time doing event, travel and street photography.

In the past, all of the professional models I've worked with were procured through modeling agencies.  I joined MM in the hopes of finding bright, eager, energetic, at least  somewhat experienced amateur models to help build a product photography portfolio to attract advertising clients.  It's been a mixed bag of results so far. 

I tend to avoid divas, self-important drama queens and those who have myopic compensation demands.  If this isn't going to be a fun engagement for both of us then it's probably not worth doing.  If your polite introduction focuses solely on your needs and requirements, don't expect a reply.  If you lack any discernible skill in self-marketing, probably best to move on.

Your ability (or at least the willingness to learn) to act a role and tell a visual story using poses, facial expressions and so on are key.  I prefer to work with a wholesome looking model with an edginess that takes the viewer's breath away just gazing at her.  The more images we create that are worthy of enlargement, framing and sale, the happier I will be.

You should have recent, professionally done images in your profile.  If not, please be very realistic on your rate and demands.  I have 50-odd years of photography experience under my belt so you will be getting a few high quality images to add to your portfolio in addition to your negotiated rate.

Please:  If you have ever flaked out on a shoot due to some last minute emergency, please do not waste my time. 

I will do TF** providing I think the model is worth it (Drive, professionalism, dedication and reliability) and if the model eagerly collaborates on the layout we are planning. This goes double for paid shoots.  If our arrangement is going to be all about you, please do it with someone else.
