About Me

Please read my entire profile before contacting me about work.  I don't want to waste my time or yours if you aren't a serious professional or eager to learn newcomer.

I am a very experienced photographer with many decades of experience working with film before slowly transitioning to digital 20+ years ago.  My primary source of income was as an electronics systems engineer, a career that I retired from a few years ago.  Since then I have been focusing my energy on developing a brand-building photography business.  I am very serious about my photography and work hard to create images that are as good as if not better than my accomplished peers.  No small task as I am still learning even though I've been doing photography professionally since before your parents were in short pants.

Prior to retiring I did a lot of weddings and event photography as a part time contractor.  I was also published in several motorcycle themed magazines.  These days my interests are in building a business that provides SpokesModel stills for print and digital advertising.  I still spend a fair amount of time doing event and street photography, usually paid gigs.

In the past, all of the professional models I've worked with were procured through modeling agencies.  I joined MM in the hopes of finding bright, eager, energetic, at least  somewhat experienced amateur models to help build a product photography portfolio to attract advertising clients.  It's been a mixed bag of results so far.  Many here do not act like they are at all serious about modeling as a career and don't seem especially motivated to hone their craft.  The flake to sincere ratio seems to be about 80:20 with the majority being here mostly to waste photographer's  time.  I'm honored that I've had the opportunity to work with a few stellar models on here.  But if you are a drama queen and/or prone to having last minute "emergencies" come up, please do not engage me for any potential work.

So with that groundwork established, I am always interested in hearing from inexperienced/semi-experienced, photogenic "girl next door" type female models for G-rated street photography and travel location shoots.

I will do TF** providing I think the model is worth it (Drive, professionalism, dedication and reliability) and if the model eagerly collaborates on the layout we are planning. This goes double for paid shoots.  If our arrangement is going to be all about you, please do it with someone else.

If you don't have recent, professionally done images in your portfolio and several recent recommendations by professional photographers I will most likely only be offering TF and a small stipend in exchange for my time and skill.

If you happen to be one of those rare models who wants to make this a career: I am all about collaborations to create memorable images.  If you have something insightful to add that will turn an average shoot into an incredible story, I'd love to hear from you.

I prefer wholesome looking, professional deportment models seeking to build a portfolio or experiment with new looks.  I am neutral on ink so long as you don't look like a circus sideshow. If your face can't get through the airport metal detectors you've probably gone too far with the piercings.  I am open to all [legal] ages, races, shapes and so on.

I travel around the USA frequently so I'm always interested in hearing from out-of-town models for a local shoot in their area.  And of course models home based in/near PDX for repeat work.

I welcome inquiries from *SERIOUS* models anywhere in the PNW who are committed to developing their craft.  Anyone guaranteeing that they can get you published is probably full of it and I make no such claims.  However, my business is focused on attracting advertising clients and event promoters, not magazine publishers looking for free naked centerfold layouts.  Having your images featured in my portfolio is no guarantee of future paying work but it certainly can't hurt.  It only takes one client to turn a hobby/sideline into a gold mine.  Think Flo, the SpokesModel for Progressive.  You could be her.

I always have several projects in the works.  If you'd like to be part of one of them or if you just need to punch up your portfolio I welcome you to friend me and drop me a note.

Happy to do occasional layouts for your for "OnlyFans" web site but ONLY on a TF basis.

Yes, I am certainly capable of barking out instructions if a model has no capacity for creativity.  But I am mostly only interested in working with models who have the interest, energy and creative abilities to collaborate on shoots.  I am big into letting a model freelance once we have mutually agreed on an overall theme for the layout.  If you are only interested in showing up and being directed as you smile at the camera you are not a model I would be especially interested in working with.

Note to retouchers:  If I ever find the need to want to hire one (which is extremely unlikely), I will do so.  Otherwise, do not tag or message me.  I have become weary of the annoying retoucher spamers here!  In other words, get lost!

To indicate that you're read and comprehend everything I've written in my profile please preface your polite introduction with the line, "Eloise sent me".  Absent this I will assume that you are just another lazy model wannabe.
