I love to explore projects that combine science and technology with art in some interesting way... either in the creation of the work... or in the work itself. I am currently a full-time professional software engineer but I have always been an artist as well. I'm happily married, with three adult daughters, and I'm easy to get along with. I need art in my life and I enjoy exercising my creative side regularly. I particularly love the sense of accomplishment that comes from a project that is well done and is appreciated on many levels (details, execution, interpretation).

I joined this site to network with other creative artists and models because I need models for some upcoming fine art projects. I am scanning models using a handheld 3D scanner and then digitally manipulating them and working on a new production process that will allow me to produce various derivative works from these scans (e.g., limited edition miniature sculptures, relief works, and lots of other ideas in the pipeline).

3D Scanning Shoot: For models, your experience will be somewhere in between posing for a life art session and working with a photographer. We will talk about the goals for each project, experiment with staging some poses, and then you will need to be able to hold each pose while I perform the full body scans. In all of this work, I want to fully capture a moment in time (in 3D) as accurately as possible. We will shoot some BTS video and take some photos for reference but the main purpose is the 3D scanning. Hair is difficult, so you might have to put your hair in a bun, use dry shampoo, or put it in a cap. Shiny surfaces are difficult, so we might need to have you apply baby powder to reduce the reflection off your skin. We might have to work through challenges related to the equipment or the pose. The handheld 3D scanning device flashes light repeatedly and will need to be moved around your body from about 12" away all over (maybe a little closer in some cases when trying to scan nearby areas from different angles depending on the pose). You will need to be able to hold each pose for roughly 5 minutes to complete each scan.

Genres & Mediums: Because I'm basically creating a new process, I plan to explore several genres and several mediums. My favorite artworks captivate your attention for reasons that you don't fully understand yourself (e.g., artistic nudes, alternative models, edgy imagery, social observations, invoke emotions). For practical reasons, my initial work is likely to be miniatures in cold cast mediums.

Locations & Escorts: I understand some models feel more comfortable with an escort, and that's fine with me, as long as I feel comfortable with them as well, and they don't get in the way of our creative process. Depending on what we're both comfortable with regarding personal safety and travel, location can be flexible, but my specialized equipment will be the limiting factor.

Paid Models: I only pay for models that have a lot of experience with artistic and photographic modeling because I'm benefiting from their experience. I expect them to be able to help elevate the quality of my work, contribute to the creative process, and be able to help work through any challenges that arise.

TF Work: In some circumstances, I might be willing to work for trade or collaboration, as long as it's worth it for both of us, and it's something that appeals to me. For example, if you've always wanted a Trophy or Cosplay miniature of yourself, or if you want some form of merchandise that I can print using Dye Sublimation (which I have a lot of experience with), or need some Photoshop or digital artwork done, etc.
