About Me

My name is Nigel Cooper and I’m a fashion, beauty, portrait and product photographer based in Cambridgeshire, UK

I studied photography in London and spent a few years working out of a studio in the capital where I specialised in fashion, portraiture, advertising and editorial photography. My previous client list includes: Sony, JVC, Panasonic, Johnson & Johnson, Arsenal Football Club and the BBC.

My fastidious eye and attention to detail comes from having a mental t-square built into my head and a rule-of-thirds grid etched onto the back of my eyes. I’ve always said that there are three vital ingredients required for any given shot: subject matter, composition and lighting, but with a whole load of natural creativity layered on top. For any given shot there are, on average, 15 to 20 things that a photographer has to draw upon and pay particular attention to. As a photographer I relish these finer details when setting up any given shot.
