“You should have been a butcher,” says Shanda Kerr.  From that flippant comment DAWN THE BUTCHER was born.  Dawn Hall is a Certified Professional Master Makeup Artist and a licensed hairdresser based out of Dallas, TX more than willing to travel for her art.  She works full time in the beauty industry and strives continually to develop her skill and push boundaries.  Dawn’s high energy, positive attitude and boundless enthusiasm infect everyone she comes into contact with.  Dawn applies  body collages  using the airbrush, paint brushes and  texture. Her body art has a distinct style and personalized touch.  Dawn does beauty makeup for all occasions and is capable of calculating Kelvin temperature as well as insuring continuity and maintaining daily logs.  She is available for film/television/HDTV, Runway, Photography, Bridal/Special Occasion, and paramedical makeup as well as private lessons.  Dawn has a reputation for adding a creative and totally unconventional touch to the makeup and hair she does.  What Dawn is most recognized for is her realistic and graphic special FX work.  She is specifically celebrated for her passion, skill and love of zombies and zombie makeup.  This explains the origin of  the name DAWN THE BUTCHER.  Whether she is laying hair, applying a bald cap, simulating a wound, or aging an individual, Dawn’s special effects techniques add to any film, photo, or live production.  DAWN THE BUTCHER is a member of the performance group Cadaver Cabaret and serves as the in house makeup/hair/special FX artist.  Dawn’s credits list of photographers, models and retail companies is extensive and any one of them would give a glowing recommendation for her work.  Horror movies, live theatrical productions, still photography, high fashion runway events, and body collages are all areas that would benefit greatly from Dawn’s work.  DAWN THE BUTCHER also offers packages for themed photo shoots and parties.
