About Me

Effective January 1, 2024. Please note that all models, regardless of compensation, will be required to sign a model release and show proof of age (i.e., driver’s license).
W9 forms are required for all paid shoots, regardless of amount, and TFP, where printed photos are given. No W9 is required for non-paid shoots and TFP with digital images only. Talent that receives $600 or more per calendar year will receive a 1099.

Who am I?
I am a photographer located in the Greater Cleveland area. I have had an on/off relationship with photography for more than 40 years, focusing primarily on portraits and wildlife. I belong to multiple professional and nonprofessional photography organizations and tend to focus on portraits, fine art nudes, bodyscapes, boudoir, pets, and wildlife at this time. This doesn't mean I'm not up for trying other genres; rather, these areas are what I'm drawn to the most.

Note that I am no longer a member here and cannot send initial contact emails. So far, I have not had any issues responding to emails sent. My major frustration with Model Mayhem is the lack of updated photos and social media links (when outdated images are being used) from many of the models. For this reason, if I am not currently following you on Instagram, do not be offended when I ask for a recent photo. Also, don't be surprised if I also ask for additional contact information, such as an email and phone number if we do not have a working relationship. If it isn't obvious, I tend to communicate so that everyone knows what is going on. I strongly believe that to get the most out of any shoot, especially with first-time shoots, communication is key.

In most cases, I hire talent and discuss the project several times before the shoot date. I encourage models, especially first-time models and those under the age of 99, to bring another person with them, but unless I need them to hold a light/reflector, they will be mandated to stay “in the background.” In other words, if they interfere with our shoot, I will call it a wrap regardless if we’re done or not. Both of our times are valuable, so let's not waste it.

I value a model's craft and have no problem compensating them for their time; however, please understand that unless there is something very special about the model, I am not going to pay a hundred dollars or more an hour without having done one or more "test" shoots.

UPDATE: For models contacting me in regard to a paid shoot, please include your rates along with any standard release restrictions with your initial email. This will save us both time as I don't want to set an expectation only to find out that the rate or restrictions desired prohibit doing a shoot.

I am looking primarily for female models for boudoir, bodyscapes, dance, fine art nudes, fashion, and portraiture. I welcome all body types, ages (18+ and legally able to sign a model release), and ethnicities. What is most important to me is the desire to model and a willingness to work with others. Model releases are not signed until the end of the shoot to ensure the model has control over the images being created. Nude/implied nude requires a last photo be taken of the talent holding the signed release and a state-issued ID card (thank you, lawyers) as proof of willingness to participate.
