I began my interest of photography in the 1990's as a hobby but recently I have taken it more seriously and now I have a studio in downtown Columbia, MO. I am actively building a portfolio and would be interested in collaborating on ideas and concepts of any genre. I shoot both digital and now wet plate collodion aka Tintype. My studio space is ideal with controlled lighting for headshot to full body compositions. The foyer of the studio complex offers a wide variety of backdrops, walls, doors, and colors.

My workflow begins a week or two prior to a studio session with a discussion of ideas and goals for the shoot so that I can design the lighting, research backdrops, and map out camera angles to create the desired feel/emotion of the project. This initial meeting can be over the phone or in person. Once we have a conceptual idea worked out I use Pinterest to create an inspirational board of examples for the project and during the development phase, I welcome active collaboration in this process so that we can be efficient and prepared on the day of the shoot. There is a bathroom for costume changes, and a mirror for hair and makeup. I am not a hair or makeup artist so I ask that the model provide this.

I am happy to collaboration with both experienced or inexperienced, male or female models, and I am open to any ideas that you may have. I am also willing to trade time and space for photographs. Message me if you have any questions or to book a session.
