I used drawing as a means of keeping myself sane during my journey to become a veterinarian, as I knew I would never want to make my hobby into a JOB! I learned from the ground up, starting with comic books, and got serious about it while in undergrad where I was able to explore various media beyond pen, ink and graphite. I still prefer chalk, graphite, ink and prismacolor pencil as my media of choice, and find interest in the negatives and highlights found on objects and the human form as well. A somewhat pathological eye for detail is my enemy when it comes to face portraits and when using very fine graphaite as they tend to take me several days to create. I would love to get back into more consistent art once more.
