My name is Haley and I am a newly certified makeup artist. Makeup is my passion and It is the only thing I can see myself doing long term. I've been interested in makeup since I was 14, I picked it up as a hobby when I was 17, and I realized it was what I wanted to do when I was 18. Honestly getting into makeup the way that I did helped me become confident and secure with my self and my image. Coworkers, family members, and my significant other kept telling me that I should go into the makeup field and after working in the beauty department in the retail store I work at I decided that I love learning about makeup, being surrounded by makeup and helping people find makeup that best suits them. It made me realize that I want people to feel as confident as I am in and out of makeup.
I attended The Academy of Makeup and just finished the program in September of 2019 and received my certificate so I can say that I am a certified makeup artist. Because I just finished the program I do not have a lot of experience so that is what I want from this site. I want to gain experience and build my portfolio.
I know basic sfx makeup and basic airbrush.
Honestly, As of now I just want to break into field and build a career for myself. I have two very different ideal career paths for myself. The first,(more realistic one) is to be a successful, full time, bridal/event makeup artist. The other is somewhat of a dream of being the key makeup artist for a movie, which I think would be amazing.
