Hi! I'm Dom - an old soul and amateur photographer in south-east London.

I've always been a creative and visual person, drawing comics as a kid, making music and taking photos for as long as I can remember. My day job is spent working in a GP surgery, but I'm here to try and improve my craft and eventually make a break into working creatively for a living.

I have always had an interest in people and understanding the deeper side of things. Why we do the things we do, how we think and feel and react to the world around us. I was born in 1990, arguably at the arse-end of the old world and the beginning of the digital/information age. I remember not having mobile phones or the internet, when misogyny and homophobia were the norm and weren't openly challenged or questioned. And so with less than 30 years on the planet, I feel I've seen a lot change.

I take great joy in creating things, and photography-wise that includes landscapes, street, headshots and portraits, glamour and nude art. I've been taking it semi-seriously for a year now and at the start, I felt I was doing it simply for my own pleasure. But having worked with a few people now, the feeling of giving THEM pleasure in seeing themselves as beautiful is a feeling far superior to anything I'd experienced artistically before.

And so if you've read this far, I want to photograph people of all shapes and sizes, from all corners of the world, to further understand what makes us beautiful as people and inhabitants of this planet. To help those who have a story to tell to tell it on their own terms and to somewhat find a way to reconnect people in what feels like a disjointed, popularity contest and social media obsessed society.
