About Me

A photography lover that is jumping back into the world of lenses and f stops. I started taking photos decades ago but, got caught up in corporate America and the world of retail and was side tracked. Now that I'm retired, the fire is back. I have traveled halfway around the world and have seen many things that helps me in my shooting style. I work out of the Baltimore area but cover the DMV and the Tri State area. I love doing what I do but, as with everything else there are some rules that I ask you to follow:

1. Please be on time. If we have an agreement, please consider my time. I love my photography but I do pay bills, so I might have schedules to meet.

2. I don't mind you bringing a friend or support system but they must not interfere with MY shoot. I have an idea of what I want in my head,....if they envision something different,..they can ask , and I will try to incorporate it in my session.

3. I don't do this to pick up women. If you bring someone to the shoot and they are there for insurance and/or security, I am fine with that. All I ask is that the not interact with you .

Other than those few little rules,....I am outgoing, funny, witty and very easy to work with, but I am a professional.

I was recently scrolling through the streets of Model Mayhem and stumbled onto this and it spoke volumes as to what I am going through right now. So to know that I am not the only one going through this struggle,.....I will push on:

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone had told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, and they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you have to know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just have to fight your way through.”
