Model Portfolio Development Concepting & Delivery:

In order to ensure that agency & aspiring agency models get shots from shoots with me  that they can use, I've implemented the following guidelines. Model portfolio development shoots are about showcasing you,  not me or any of my artistic concepts.

For agency models:

Please give me your booker's name and contact info. I will contact your booker to discuss what type of shots you need for how your agency markets you. Your booker will tell me what
you need.

After we finish the shoot, I will do a first edit of the number of shots, and try to narrow them down to what I feel are the top 5 to 20 shots from each look. These frames will be converted from RAW to jpgs without any photoshop. These frames will then be put into a slide show and sent to you and your booker. Your booker will choose which, if any, images that can be used in your portfolio. You'll then get one or two at high and low res unmarked from each look RETOUCHED  that the booker selects, and then  one or two of the ones I select. You'll also get any images I do for the other team members

For models seeking representation:

I will review your current portfolios and ask you which agencies you are pursuing. I will review books of models on those sites that are similar to you. Based on what you have in your books and what types of shots other models have on those sites, with your approval, I will come up with 1 to 3 looks for our shoot.

If you do not have a clean beauty shot with minimal make-up and a bathing suit shot showing your figure, those are two looks we may strongly considering doing along with any others.

After we finish the shoot, I will do a first edit of the number of shots, and try to narrow them down to what I feel are the top 5 to 10 shots from each look. WHAT I SHOOT:

I do not have a "style". All my shoots are conceived around each individual model. I use a lot of different light set-ups, shoot indoors, outdoors, even sometimes hanging from a tree or whatever best showcases the model..

Most of  my shoots are pre-planned with locations and lighting scouted and pre-determined so,  I pretty much see a picture in my head of what I want to capture and how I want it lit, long before I click the shutter.

HOW I SHOOT:

I will not shoot without, at least, a MUA who does light hair For fashion, I MUST have a wardrobe stylist. My preference is to have a complete team of MUA, hair stylist and wardrobe stylist. During my shoots, for every hour and half a model is getting her MU and hair done, I usually maybe shoot around a half hour. Everyone on the team  then is also encouraged to give input  to make sure all team members get shots they can use.

For models, if you're not some one who adds to my book, my rates are very reasonable and do include team member's fees for MU & hair but not wardrobe. I can pull wardrobe for a small additional fee from one of LA's top young stylists. This includes a fitting.
