After beginning to model in college, being scouted on campus by DNR men's fashion magazine (https://latimesblogs.latimes.com/alltherage/2008/11/dnr-is-rip-mens.html), I stopped in order to focus on my graduate studies. From there, I embarked on a career in relationship management and fundraising.

Over the course of my 12 years in this line of work, I was based in LA, spent most of my time traveling, and was approached a several times by modeling scouts and agents-- one of whom interrupted me in the middle of a breakfast meeting with a key client in San Francisco. Luckily, the client got a kick out of the situation.

It of course never occurred to me to follow up on any of these encounters. I already had a career I loved, and neither my schedule nor my professional reputation allowed for the pursuit of modeling work.

When Jill Paider approached me at an event in Los Angeles and asked if I'd do a test shoot with her--part fashion, part lifestyle---I couldn't say no. The opportunity to experience the process, and to do so with such a renowned photographer--with no threat to my livelihood--seemed the perfect way to satisfy any curiosity about modeling.

The shoot was a blast. So much so that, over the years, I did a couple more private test shoots with under the same privacy conditions. I enjoyed each shoot for the process alone, found myself treating it like work--and I learned a bit along the way.

A few years ago, I changed careers and am now a professional actor (Actor's Equity, SAG-AFTRA). Having gained headway on that front, I've recently decided to finally, openly pursue modeling. So I'm building my portfolio. In the process, I'm looking to work with a variety of photographers, with a variety of creative visions and goals.
