Taru was founded by artist/designer/model Saija C. as means of bringing the world a unique brand that offered both "style & story" through the fusion of her artistic background and interest in fashion. Officially launched in early 2019, Taru entered the scene with 6 unique leggings designs.

All Taru garments feature the artist's original artwork, and are produced using patterns carefully tested and designed exclusively for the brand. Taru is also committed to being a part of the sustainable future of fashion, and everything is manufactured with ethical practices right here in the US. As part of the founder's greater vision, Taru is committed to donating a minimum 11% of profits toward various causes right from the beginning.

While currently focused on leggings designs, the Taru brand has grander plans for more garment types in the future. Spring 2019 will already see the introduction of additional new designs, high waistband options for Taru leggings, as well as some unique "special editions" of our favorite launch designs. So stay tuned for what we create next!

The Taru creative team consists of the husband & wife duo, as Nate C. joined his wife's fashion mission as both business manager and official brand photographer. While the brand is primarily operated by the designer herself, the pair work together for all creative projects. The two collaborate on both organizing details beforehand (from location, mood, casting, & styling) as well as on set the day of the shoot. Having shared a number of years together in the industry during Saija's freelance modeling, the two have an eye for what to look for when trying to capture "the" photo. Taru is a brand fueled by true passion and dreams, and that is reflected by the inspiration brought on set with each photo shoot.
